<합주단체가 반드시 기억할 사항>

1. Be on time with a pencil in hand.

- "Be early, giving yourself time to assemble your instrument and warm up before rehearsal starts.

  Be in place and ready to play at the scheduled start time."

- 연습 시간 정각에 도착하자. 연필을 준비하자.

악기 다 조립하고 연습 시작하기 전에 미리 좀 불어서 준비되어있게 하자.

2. When in doubt, leave it out. .....unless it is a very a exposed passage

In that case, practice! practice! practice! (at home, not at rehearsal)

- 잘 모르겠고 힘든 파트에서는 건너 뛰자. 거의 단독으로 꼭 나와야 하는 대목이면 죽도록 연습해야 한다. (집에서~!)

3. Keep your place. (Count your rests silently and don't fake the section into an early entrance.)

When you do make an entrance, do so with confidence. (Don't sneak in)

Keep in mind that the different clarinet parts may not always be playing in rhythmic unison.

- 마디 세고 있다가 자기 들어갈 차례에 정확히 들어간다. 들어갈 때는 자신있게 시작한다.

4. Keep time by tapping your toes inside your shoe.

- 박자 세는 건 신발 안에 발가락으로(발 박자 탁탁 심하게 맞추지 말라는 뜻인 듯.)

5. Try not to have private conversations with your neighbors.

(bad rehearsal etiquette)

- 옆 사람하고 잡담 말 것. (연습 중 에티켓에 어긋난 행동)

6. Be careful not to hang over any Grand pauses, and do not add any extra notes at the end of a march. (Not all marches have an extra stinger at the end)

- 다 끝나야 되는데 소리 남기지 말 것. (행진곡 경우)

7. Follow the conductor carefully for tempo/meter changes. ( 1 eye on the music, 2 eyes on the conductor)

- 한 눈으로 악보보고, 두 눈으로 지휘자를 보라. 박자 변화 대비.

8. Try to learn your rhythms perfectly. No one will miss a wrong accidental

on a fast run. The rhythm is more important.

- 리듬을 완벽히 파악할 것.

9. Always check your key signature, and circle key changes.

- 무슨 조인지 확실히 알아둘 것. (첨언하면, 그 조의 #,b 어디 붙었나 파악할 것.)

10. Watch your intonation, and try to blend with your section.

- 음정 신경 써서 다른 사람과 소리 맞추라.

11. Have Fun, enjoy performing, and learn from your peers

- 신나게 합주하자! 연주를 즐기고, 동료 단원들로부터 배우자.
